Chord Freeze holds any chord you play into an infinite sustain, so you can practise scales and solos over a drone made from your own guitar. This page is where to look if something isn't working.
The app also has a full help screen built in — tap the ? button in the top-right corner at any time.
No sound, and the level meter isn't moving Check the input name in the pill at the top of the screen. If it shows the wrong device, unplug and reconnect it. If Chord Freeze was denied microphone access, enable it in Settings → Chord Freeze → Microphone.
Squealing or howling That's feedback from the built-in speaker into the built-in mic. Use headphones or an audio interface. Chord Freeze mutes live monitoring automatically in this configuration, but the frozen sound can still feed back.
The frozen chord sounds harsh or clangy You captured the pick attack. Freeze grabs the sound that was already ringing just before you tapped, so let the chord settle for about a second first — or shorten the WINDOW knob.
It froze the wrong chord, or sounds smeared WINDOW is long enough to have caught a chord change. Try 0.2–0.3s.
Auto-Freeze triggers when I don't want it to It fires on any note held steady, so fast passages with a ringing note can set it off. Switch it off and freeze manually for those.
I bought the unlock but it's asking me to pay again Open the unlock screen and tap Restore Purchase. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it with.
